This would also make sense if you live in a region that is not humid year round. For the tropical regions you may want to choose one of the 70-pint models.

The price is slightly higher than normal costing you a little bit higher than $200. For what you get, it makes sense that it is a little more expensive. However, you may want to investigate some of the other mid-sized dehumidifiers before making your purchase as there are other dehumidifiers in the same class that cost less than $100. This dehumidifier is significantly differentiated with the UV light so it demands a bit higher of a price.
